Mr. Thomas Sobocinski, Manager of Grant Development
Mr. Sobocinski is responsible for identifying grant opportunities that support the mission of The WorkPlace, working with the president, staff and other partners to research, establish coalitions and develop project strategies and taking the lead role in planning and writing proposals for The WorkPlace and assisting other allied agencies to develop grant proposals. As the prime developer of programs and resources he reports to the president and serves on his cabinet. Mr. Sobocinski has won more than $4.6 million in grants in the last two year. His experience includes nearly 21 years developing and managing non-profit human services and workforce development programs including 6 years in staff training and development. As an independent, he has provided consulting services to non-profit agencies and has managed real estate development. Mr. Sobocinski has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and a Master of Arts in Communications from Fairfield University.
